Josephine Barbara Russo-Santoro

She was a beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and friend

Born in Manhattan, she resided in Queens, Wellsville, NY and Neptune, NJ before settling in Lakewood NJ 26 years ago.

Prior to retiring, Josephine worked as an Executive Assistant for Gimbel’s Department Store and acted as the shop steward for the Local 1262. She was also an avid bowler and belonged to many organizations in the Original Leisure Village.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 50 years, Eli Russo; her second husband, Stephen Santoro; and her son, Ronald Eli Russo.

Surviving are her daughters: Barbara Ann Wainwright and Anna Russo of Lakewood; and her son, Joseph (MaryEllen née Ardolina) Russo of Brick; and Judith Ann Russo (née Olivero); her grandchildren: Robert, Scott, Jessica, Tina, Carrie, Natalie, Emily & Hisham; and great-grandchildren: Gunnar, Kyle, Cole, Carter, Logan, Gabrielle, Sophia, & Leo.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the D’Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave., Lakewood, NJ 08701.
