Karl R. Gruber, age 83, of Brick, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2019. Karl was born August 3, 1936 in Roselle Park, NJ. He was raised in Linden, moving to Cranford for many years before settling in Lakewood for the past 18 years. Karl served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Gruber was a tool and die maker and the owner of Roseville Manufacturing and Machine Works in Middlesex, NJ. He served for many years as a deacon for the Linden Presbyterian Church and was president of the Leisure Village East First Aid Squad. He was very active in the Leisure Village East Community namely the Men's Club and Golf Club. Karl was an avid outdoorsman, especially fishing, hunting, and golf. He was a loving father and will be greatly missed by all.
Mr. Gruber is predeceased by his wife Norma Gruber.
He is survived by his daughters, Diane Gruber and her partner Ramsey Eric Ramsey, Laura Gruber, and his long-term partner Joan Callahan.
Memorial gathering will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 from 5-7 PM at the D'Elia Funeral Home 1300 Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 7 PM at the funeral home. Cremation will be held privately.
