Lydia DeRosa, 80, of Toms River, New Jersey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and faithful servant of Christ, went home to be with the Lord on April 14, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on July 27, 1944, Lydia lived a life marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith. She was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ, and her life was a reflection of His grace and kindness. Whether through her comforting words, warm smile, or tireless acts of service, she embodied the heart of a true Christian woman. She was the “Thought of the Day Lady”
She was the guiding light of her family — a nurturer, encourager, and constant source of strength. Her prayers covered her husband, sister, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and her brothers and sister in Christ daily, and her words of wisdom will echo in their hearts forever. Her faith never wavered, even through life’s hardest trials, and she inspired everyone around her to trust in God's plan.
Lydia was deeply involved in her church community, always willing to lend a helping hand, whether through ministry work or simply being there when someone needed a shoulder to lean on. Her legacy of faith, family, and love will continue to shine through the lives she touched.
Now that Lydia has arrived at her much-anticipated destination, we can cheer her on for her life well lived, her powerful example of bearing up under the hardships that befall fragile humans, and her breaking through the finish line of the fallen world into the Promised Land. What a befitting time of the year as we enter the season of Resurrection! A hero in the hearts of her family and friends and a true victor! We can only hope to follow in her footsteps that lead to everlasting peace.
She is survived by Her Husband Nino, Son Anthony and wife Kim, Daughter Nina Marie and husband Dan, Son Nino and wife Amy, Sister Alene, Grandson Anthony and wife Ava, Granddaughter Alexa, Granddaughter Toni Marie, Grandson Vin, Granddaughter Tao, Great Granddaughter Sophia, Nieces Hope and Faith and husband Mike and Nephews Zion and Keanu. In addition to, many other nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life and faith will be held on May 3, 2025 at 1 pm at Calvary Chapel Living Water on Hooper Ave in Toms River.
We rejoice in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones, and resting in the arms of her Savior.
“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.” – Matthew 25:23
