

An artist who attended New York’s Cooper Union, an inventor, a multi-patent holder, business owner, and founder of Vastex International Inc., Michael was an accomplished man. Alongside his partner and wife, Fannie Vasilantone, he was a key figure in the very early days of an entirely new industry—screen printing on T-shirts.
Michael was predeceased by his siblings, Alex, Sophie, and Marina. He is survived by his beloved wife, Fannie; his three children, Valerie Vecci of Lanoka Harbor, Mark Vasilantone and his wife Cindy of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and Laurie Vasilantone and her husband Glenn Wilder of Wall; and his sister, Chris Vasilantone.
He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Devyn, Ryan, Michael, Jonathan, Lauren, Tara, Tim, Nick, Michael, and Sam, and his great-grandchildren, Wren, Christian, Gabe, Elora, Essie, Luci, and Enoch.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., with a religious service at 1:30 p.m., at D’Elia Funeral Home, Lakewood.
