Suzanne McKinney

Suzanne McKinney, 75, passed away August 3, 2012 at her home in Brick. Mrs. McKinney was born in Lakewood and lived in Brick for the past 47 years. Suzanne graduated from Lakewood High School in 1955. She then worked for the Lakehurst Naval Base for 27 years as a contract specialist. Suzanne enjoyed playing the slots in Atlantic City and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend, and will be greatly missed by all. Mrs. McKinney is predeceased by her son Michael in 1988, brother Raymond and sister Gloria. Suzanne is survived by her husband Max of 53 years, two children Lisa Russo and her husband Robert and Steven McKinney and his wife Kathi, six grandchildren, Nicole, Alex, Kenny, Eric, Michael, and Tyler, great granddaughter, Stephanie, brothers, Bruce and John Moore, sister Margaret “Peggy” Miller, dear friend Irene “Elsie” Braly, many nieces and nephews and her beloved Dachshund Baby. Friends may call Tuesday, August 7, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the D’Elia Funeral Home Rt. 70 & Vermont Ave. Lakewood, NJ 08701. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 10AM at the funeral home. Interment will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Lakewood. In lieu of flowers please make donations in Suzanne’s memory to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
