Theresa B. Taliercio (Terry), a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10th, 2026, at the age of 82. Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Terry was never one to stay idle, and always had a creative spirit. Her life was defined by deep, meaningful connections, leaving a lasting impression on people she met.
Terry was the cherished daughter of the late Carmine and Mary Esposito. The beloved wife of the late Adam Taliercio, she shared a beautiful, fulfilling marriage that spanned 52 wonderful years. Their marriage was a true partnership filled with laughter, a love of dance, and an adventurous spirit. They were avid travelers, often found exploring new destinations, with a special fondness for cruises that took them to many of the world’s most beautiful places. But perhaps their most enduring shared passion was dancing—whether at a wedding, in their living room, or on a cruise ship; they were always dancing, embodying a joyful rhythm that defined their life together.
Terry is survived by her devoted and loving children: son Michael and his wife Linda, and their son Michael; her son John and his wife Alena, and their two children, Makaley and John. Spending time with her grandchildren was unequivocally her greatest joy, a role she embraced with boundless energy and love. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she remains a cherished and irreplaceable figure to them; her smile and warm hugs will be missed. Her artistic talents were always part of the activities she planned and remain a strong memory.
Her friends and the people she met in all parts of her life were important to her. The longest of these relationships goes back to middle school in Brooklyn and lasted seven decades. Keeping these relationships was a testament to her love and a loyalty which connected to all important parts of her life. Another joy that was a constant was her artistic side. This could be seen in the homes she decorated or the flower arrangements she created. Terry had a passion for writing and was always doodling, a blank page a challenge to be filled. Over the years her creations included painting, but any empty space would be filled with color from her mind.
Theresa B. Taliercio will be profoundly missed by her family, her wide circle of friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her warm smile and generous spirit. Her memory will continue to inspire and comfort those she leaves behind.
