Thomas Richard Hanson

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Richard Hanson, a loving father, and grandfather. Thomas, born in Stanley, Wisconsin on March 30th 1943, passed away peacefully in Brick, New Jersey on Dec.30th 2023, leaving behind a legacy of service and love.

Thomas proudly served his country in the United States Army, and retired from a successful career in Engineering. Following his retirement, he enjoyed working at Fort Dix Army Base as a bus driver, and later as a school bus driver.

During his free time, Thomas enjoyed woodworking and various home projects, gardening, bird watching, kayaking, and most of all, spending time with his loving family. He was a lifelong fan of the Green Bay Packers and rarely missed a game.

Thomas was a devoted husband to his late wife Gloria. Through their marriage, he gained a loving step-daughter, and several grandchildren.

Thomas is survived by his devoted daughter Heather (Marino) and his 3 grandchildren, Olivia, Alexander, and Isabella, as well as his son Michael.

Although we mourn the loss of Thomas, we are grateful for his life, the love he shared, and the impact he had on those around him. His consistently positive outlook on life will continue to serve as an example for his family for years to come.

A visitation for Thomas will be held Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at D'Elia Funeral Home, 1300 Vermont Ave, Lakewood, NJ 08701.
