Born in Rahway, NJ, Virginia resided in several homes throughout the state before retiring to Holiday, FL. She returned to NJ in December of 2022. The home closest to her heart was the Red Valley Ranch in Clarksburg, NJ, which was also the fulfillment of her husband’s dream. Virginia loved horseback riding and led trail rides on the sizable acreage of the ranch in the 1960’s.
Virginia was a perpetual member of the Order of the Eastern Star Molly Pitcher Chapter 198 in Freehold, NJ, and the New Port Richey Chapter 117 in FL.
For 25 years, Virginia was a school bus driver for the Freehold Regional High School District in Monmouth County, NJ. Never one to sit idle, she would frequently have a crochet or knitting project in her hands. Virginia was an avid reader, as well. During the last 2 years of her life, as her vision dimmed, she immersed herself in the audio books provided to her by the Talking Book & Braille Center of the NJ State Library.
Virginia’s wishes were for direct cremation.
