Bertrum C Kelley III

Bertrum “Bert” Kelley, 53 of Texas City, Texas, went to his heavenly home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 7, 2017.   Bert was born on July 10, 1963 in Houston, Texas, to Dianne and Bertrum Kelley, II.   Bert was educated in the LMISD Schools and graduated with the La Marque High School Class of 1982.   After graduation, Bert attended College of the Mainland and San Jacinto College to further his education in Respiratory.   He accepted Christ at an early age at the Rising Star Missionary Baptist Church in West Texas City and was baptized by Rev. Dr. D.N. Benford, Sr.    After graduation, Bert went to work for Mainland Center Hospital and Kindred Hospital and later at Cornerstone Rehabilitation Center of Webster, Texas.   Bert was a very proud father of his only child and the love of his life, Nala.  Where ever Bert was, you could count on Nala’s name in the conversation.  He had a quiet spirit, but loved his Dallas Cowboys!   He was preceded in death by his father, Bertrum Kelley, II; his step-father Henry Robinson, Sr. and his grandmother, Hortence “Mama Cotton” Gilbert. Bert leaves to cherish his memories, a Devoted and Caring Mother, Dianne Robinson; Loving Daughter, Nala Kelley; Brothers, Steven Kelley and Henry “Hank” Robinson, Jr.; Devoted “Brothers from another mother” Wilton Jackson, Jr., Tracy Rollins and Tommy Kyles; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and family members.
