Mr. Bertrand Collins

June 10, 1968 was a special day for Phil Collins Jr. and Elizabeth Collins. God blessed their union with the birth of a son, Bertrand Collins. He was a welcomed addition to his loving family. He was introduced and accepted Christ at a young age.   Bertrand was affectionately known as “Bert” by his family and friends. He was educated in the public schools of Hitchcock Independent School District. He graduated from Gary Job Corp. While at Gary Job Corp he received the essential tools to prepare him for the working world.   He worked various jobs as a laborer until his health would no longer allow him to work. Bert enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. His kindly persona and smile will be remembered by those who loved him most.   On September 15, 2017 Bertrand Collins was called from labor to reward. He is preceded in death by his father, Phil Collins, Sr.; his brother, Phil Collins, Jr. and other loved ones.   His loving memory will always live in the hearts of his family, beloved mother, Elizabeth Collins of Hitchcock; four brothers, Tony Paul and Eric Collins both of La Marque, Texas, Anthony Collins of Oakland, California, SFC Allen K. Collins (Stephanie) of Killeen, Texas; two sisters, Lizzet Collins of Houston, Texas and Keuna Collins of Oakland, California;  his two sons, Blake Bell (Raquel) of Wharton, Texas, Peter Jackson of Dickinson, Texas; three daughters, Clarice Dorsey (Marvin) of Brenham, Texas, Kiara and Shiquita Jones of Galveston, Texas; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
