Nancy Thompson Webb

Nancy Mae Thompson Webb was born November 1, 1933 to Luther and Mattie Thompson of Arp, Texas. She married Loyce Webb and to this union a son, Allastair Riechlieu Webb, was born. Nancy graduated from Emmett J. Scott High School in Tyler, Texas and also earned a degree from Texas College. Later, she spent forty-six years as an educator in the La Marque Independent School District. She was a Charter member and loyal and dedicated member of the La Marque Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc; and an active member of Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church in Hitchcock, Texas. In addition to her son, Allastair, she leaves to cherish her memories a great-nephew, Royce L. McCuin, Jr. (Sharonda). Other nephews include: Cleaster Smith, Jr. (Velma), Richard D. Smith (Emma), Isaac L. Smith (Debra), Michael Smith (Janice) and Ronald Smith (Cookie); Nieces include Carolyn McCuin and Regina Smith; a devoted second son, Paul H. Bland; and a host of great and great-great nephews, nieces, and friends.
