

Our beloved Virgel James Stoker was born July 1, 1985 in Texas City, Texas to Janice Marie Stoker and Virgel Smith, IV. Virgel was educated in the public schools of the Texas City Independent School District, graduating from Texas City High School in 2003. While in high school he excelled in athletics, football and weight lifting. After his graduation, he attended Texas College in Tyler, Texas. A free spirited soul, Virgel was employed as a Heavy Equipment Operator at Dallas Group of America, Port of Texas City. He was a member of ILA Local #1504 and "A Few Good Men" of Texas City. Virgel's earthly journey came to a close on February 11, 2011 in Texas City, Texas. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, J. T. Stoker, great-grandparents, Virgel Smith, Eurtha Smith, Rev. James Allison Wrenn, Eliza Wrenn, Mattie B. and James Stoker and Norma Lee and Sandy I. Wilson; uncle, Christopher Stoker, aunt, Norvie Daniels and cousins, Steven Faggett and Christopher Stoker, Jr. Left to cherish memories of his life are his mother, Janice Marie Stoker; father, Virgel Smith IV; children, Addison Lynn Stoker and Kaison Dieon Stoker; grandparents, Pearlie Mae Stoker, Elizabeth Smith and Virgel Smith III; brother, Tyler Zachary Stoker; step-brother, Marcus Alexander; sisters, Toya Smith and Tairosha Doyle; and a host of loving family members and devoted friends.
