He was so much more than that, he was everyone’s friend. So even if you missed the chance to meet him, he would have counted you among his friends. For those that did know him, you know how lucky you were. He loved people and music and food and story telling and he fiercely loved every person in his family no matter how close or distant the relationship. He was a perfect example of what a gentleman, a husband and a father should be. The love he shared with his cherished wife, Melody, is the kind of love each and every person in the world can only dream of sharing with another person. Their love produced an amazing son, Optimus Prime. Blake was already being a great person in life, but now he took it to a new level in showing the world what it means to be a truly amazing father. He put his wife and son first in every decision he made and when his beloved Melody was taken, tragically too soon, it was just him and Prime. Together they were conquering daily life, maneuvering every “first” without her, kindergarten, birthdays, holidays, trying their best to be their best.
Blake is survived by his son, Optimus Prime, mother, Amy (Brent) McCoy, siblings, Breeanna (Tim) Robinson, Brittany (Ryan) King, Bryce Griffith, Josie Griffith, Sophia Griffith, Jessica McCoy, Kessler McCoy, Brittany McCoy, Step-mother Angie Griffith, father and mother in-law, Ernie & Debbie Ruddick, brother in-law, Joe French, sister in-law, Erin (Josh) Anderson, nephew, Dylan, nieces, Carlee, Lexi and Jade, many aunts, uncles, cousins and a wealth of friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife, his father and grandparents.
