Carl D. Thomas, Age 77, died March 19, 2021 with family by his side. Carl was a member of Sixth Ave United Methodist Church, graduate of Lancaster High School 1961, Machine Operator Furnace Room for 44 years at Anchor Hocking and Member AFGWU Local 144.
Survived by wife of 49 years, Edith M. (Deahl) Thomas; Children, Chad (Kristie) Thomas of Rancho Cordova, CA, Carla Arriaga of Rancho Cordova, CA, Pam (Lou) Bliss of Wakeman, OH, Matthew (fiancé, Tammy) Mooter of Stoutsville, OH, Stephanie (Steve) Brown of Rushville; 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild brothers, Ralph (Linda) Thomas, David (Patricia) Thomas, Daniel (Paula) Thomas, all of Lancaster; sisters Joyce (Rodger) Miller, Phyllis Jones of Baltimore, sisters and brothers-in-law (Deahl side). Many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Preceded in death by grandparents and parents, Paul Wilson and Anna Alice Thomas. Carl was an avid basketball and baseball player for various groups in younger years. He loved being around his family and grandchildren, traveling, camping, and fishing. Avid movie watcher and collector. Also a fan and collector of Cleveland Indians. Sadly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:00 a.m. March 27, 2021at Halteman-Fett and Dyer Funeral Home with Pastor Rick Birk officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Rose Cemetery, Lancaster. Friends and Family may call Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
