
Cindy Sue Tenney, 71 of Lancaster went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 19, 2024. Cindy was born in Logan, Ohio on April 9, 1953 to Donald and Esther Ansel. Cindy was a 30-year teacher at Tallmadge Elementary with 28 of those years as a kindergarten teacher. She loved her students and was determined to help them succeed. She liked to do crossword puzzles, Sudoku and Celebrity Cipher. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, Doug, especially to the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Most of all, she loved her Lord Jesus and had attended Lancaster Vineyard Church, where she served in many capacities over the years.
Cindy is survived by her husband, Douglas Tenney; mother, Esther Ansel; siblings, Molly (Jeff) Clark and Kristy (Rich) Woods; nieces and nephews, Minday (Kenny) Oehlers and Matt (Heather) Swisher; cousins, Brenda Malone and Larry (Pam) Goss; as well as many other loving friends and family members.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Ansel; grandparents, Jessie and Fannie Ansel, and Raymond and Dorothy Goss.
A Celebration of Cindy’s Life will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at 1PM at the Lancaster Vineyard Church (431 Whiley Rd Lancaster, OH 43130). Visitation will be held from 11AM until the time of the services on Saturday.
