Erna A Temple, 97, Lancaster, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023 at Arbors at Carroll. Erna was born September 22, 1925 in Chicago, IL to the late Anton H Harwig and Alma Grahm Harwig. She was a member of St Paul’s Evangelical Church where she served as Secretary, Treasure and Sunday School Teacher. Erna was a member of Olivedale, Quota Club, Hospital Volunteer and worked in local Banking Industry for many years.
She is survived by her son, David A. Temple; daughter, Nancy (Pat) Fleming all of Lancaster; 5 grandchildren, Greg (Traci) Jenkins, Amy (Mike) Jackson, Chris (Jennifer) Jenkins, Ali Fleming (Mike) and Kelly (Brent) Beadle; brother, Anton (Marie) Harwig; great grandchildren, Danielle, Sara, Tyler, Trevor, Colin and Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn H. Temple, daughter, Cheryl (Wayne) Jenkins, granddaughter, Leah Jackson, parents, sisters, Alma Biladlu, Florence Van Alstin and Marian Rice.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday March 13, 2023 at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home with Rev. Roger Quay officiating. Burial will be at Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Contributions can be made in lieu of flowers to the American Lung Association.
