Esther Mae Mason

Esther Mae (Beyer) Mason, of Pleasantville, passed away Tuesday March 8, 2016 at her home. She was born on January 28, 1936 to the late Fred and Iva (Young) Beyer. Esther graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1954. She was a life member of New Life Christian Center. She worked at Drew Shoe Factory in Lancaster, Ohio. Esther was a loving wife and grandmother.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, sister Naomi Ruth Beyer; nephew Joshua David Beyer; her grandparents, aunts and uncles.

Esther is survived by her husband of 60 years, William “Bud” Mason; 3 children Debby (Mike) Dobbie, of Pleasantville; Perry (Frieda) Mason, of Pleasantville, and Crystal (Pete) Miller, of Lancaster; three granddaughters; three grandsons, three great granddaughters, and six great grandsons; brother, Paul (Ruth) Beyer, of Lancaster; sister Linda (Phil) Rowan, of Lancaster; sister in law Sandy (Tom) Carpenter, of Leesburg; nephew, nieces and cousins.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 11, 2016 at New Life Christian Center at 11 a.m. with Pastor Gary Keller officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday at Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. as well as 1 hour prior to the service. Esther’s family would like to thank the staff at the Pickering House and FairHoPe hospice for all of their kindness and compassion.
