Franklin Daniel Upp, 95, died peacefully on November 28, 2024, Thanksgiving Day, at The Pickering House. A faithful, lifelong member of Grace United Church of Christ, he sang in the choir, served as a deacon and elder, was active on boards and the committee to build the new church. He retired in 1986 as plant manager for Continental Midland, Millersport, Ohio then became Manufacturing Manager for Camcar Textron in Elk Creek, VA until 1992. Frank was an avid bowler in his younger days setting many records and enjoying league games. Frank is survived by his son David (Aleta) Upp, daughters Carolyn (Larry) Schrader, Barbara (Mark) Fallon, Connie (Scott) Ross; grandchildren Jacob (Patti), Luke (Liz J), Gabriel Schrader, Michael (Kris), Max Fallon, Emily (Mark) Hennig, Courtney (Janio) Garcia, Shelby (Kincaid) Koehler; 16 great grandchildren; beloved nieces, cousin and lifelong friend Miriam Lineberger. He was preceded in death by parents Paul and Doris (Oatney) Upp; wife Judy Upp; daughter Penny; sister, Lois Evans and brother Rodger Upp.
Service will be held at Halteman-Fett & Dyer on Wednesday, December 4th at 1pm with visiting hours from 11am-1pm prior. Burial will take place at Forest Rose Cemetery.
