Julia Barr

She is survived by her sons, Brad and Keith (Jamie) Barr; four grandchildren, Zachary, Kaylee, Jordan and Rylee Barr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Barr; son, Doug Barr; sister, Barb Sayre and twin sister, Janet Schaffner.

Julia was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her boys and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as nanny. Julia loved her church family and friends. She retired from Lancaster City Schools and enjoyed her days teaching special education students and the many lasting friendships.

Julia leaves behind so many beautiful memories as a mom, grandma, and friend.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at the Pleasantville Methodist Church (112 Lincoln Ave, Pleasantville, OH 43148) from 10AM-12PM. Private Graveside services will be held at a later date at Hampson Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Pleasantville Methodist Church or FairHoPe Hospice, in memory of Julia Barr.

The family would like to thank Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center for the years of compassionate care Julia received.
