
Mary E. (Wasem) Lehman, age 83 of Lancaster was embraced by the arms of Jesus on Sunday, December 29, 2013. Mary as a 50 plus year resident of Lancaster’s westside and in 2011, she happily took residence of the Inn at Fairfield Village. She was born October 15, 1930 to the late William Jennings (WJ) & Mamie Wasem.
Mary retired from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles, was active in the Dumontsville United Methodist Church, was a member of Olivedale Kitchen Band for over 15 years, delivered Meals on Wheels She loved to travel, loved to Win at Bingo, loved her family, had a giving & compassionate personality, touched many hearts, and had a multitude of friends.
Mary is survived by her children; Connie (Scott) Moyer, Dianne (Doug) Lehman, Brian (Danielle) Lehman, Joy Evans, and their father Clyde Lehman. All of her grandchildren and great grandchildren held a very special place in her heart. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Preceding Mary in death, in addition to her parents, were her sister Gertrude Russell, and recently her brother Richard E (Woody) Wasem.
Family will receive friends from 12:00 to 3:00 on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at the Halteman-Fett & Dyer Funeral Home.
Celebration of life will be at 3:00pm on Saturday, January 4th with Pastors Rev. Harold Sturm, and Rev. Ted Grotsky officiating. Dignity cremation has taken place.
The family would like to thank the staff at Fairfield Medical Center, The Inn at Fairfield Village, & The Homestead for all the love and care each person extended to Mary.
