Robert Verne Grubb

Robert Verne Grubb, 88, passed away peacefully on April 3, 2023 at the Pickering House. He was born on July 16, 1934 in Thornville to the late Robert V. and Marietta (Griffith) Grubb. He was a 1952 graduate of Pleasantville High School and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Verne was a member of the Dumontville UM Church and served as a lay leader. He was a computer programmer for Diamond Power and Safe-Lite. Verne was a loving, humble, and dedicated husband and family man. He had a soft heart for all animals.

Verne is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Grace; four children, Lisa (Dan) Evangelista, Larry (Lisa) Grubb, Linda (Vic) Blake and Lynn (Barb) Grubb; six grandchildren, Hillary (Joshua) Romack, Emmie (Dale) Meadows, Stephanie Knight, Janay Grubb, Jessica (Chris) Fetherolf, Brittnee (Huston) Walker; five great-grandchildren, Alexander Romack, Finnegan Romack, Cara Meadows, Sarah Knight, Caitlyn Knight; sister, Martha Robey; brother, John (Patty) Grubb. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be conducted at HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME on Monday, April 10th at 1PM with Pastor Patricia Wycuff officiating. Burial will follow at Oakthorpe Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be held on Monday from 11AM until the time of services.
