Wesley Eugene Thorne Sr, 99 of Carroll passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Eugene was born on December 15, 1925 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Ralph and Violet Thorne. He proudly served in the United States Navy from 1943-1946 during World War II. He enjoyed photography and videography. Most of all he was a devoted husband and loved spending time with his family.
Eugene is survived by his children, Leona Suplee, Bonita Sutton, Michael Thorne, Roberta Wasmus, Herbert Thorne, and Eugene W. Thorne; along with many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Murele; son, Richard Thorne; and his parents.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at 1PM at the HALTEMAN-FETT & DYER FUNERAL HOME. Burial with Military Honors will follow at Greenfield Twp Cemetery in Carroll, OH. Visitation will take place on Wednesday from 12PM-1PM.
