Wanda Martina Desonia

Wanda M. DeSonia, 87, passed away on March 30, 2026, at Altercare in Coshocton, Ohio. She was born on April 27, 1938 in Monroe, Ohio, the daughter of the late Thomas J. Hughes and Talitha Filkins Hughes. She is survived by one son, Robert Montgomery, Jr. and three step-sons, Troy (Claudette) DeSonia, Bill DeSonia, Jeff DeSonia and grandchildren Rob Montgomery, Mindy Marshall, Guy Montgomery, Chris Montgomery, Joshua Lamb, Kristina Lamb, Aaron DeSonia and Matthew DeSonia, several great grandchildren and best friends, Denny and Bonny Spangler. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew J. DeSonia, whom she married on July 16, 1974 and two sons, Guy Montgomery and William Lamb. Wanda enjoyed being a homemaker and working in her flower gardens at her country home just outside of Lancaster, Ohio, that she called the "Double D Ranch". She had one of the first Bed & Breakfasts in Fairfield County and enjoyed hosting guests from all over. She was a member of the Olivedale Senior Center where she loved to dance and enjoy all the activities. A graveside service will be held at Monroe Cemetery, Monroe Cemetery Road in Oak Hill, Ohio, on Friday, April 3, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Paul Wymer officiating.
