Arlene Marilyn Relf

Arlene Relf, aged 72 years, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on February 13, 2022. She is survived by her loving husband, Dave; daughters Lynnette Ridley (Chris) and Lori Toelle (Jonathan) and grandchildren, Grace and Aleah Toelle. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

Arlene was born on April 25, 1949, in Olds, Alberta to the late Reynold and Otilia Rivinius. After graduating from high school she spent a year in Bible College. She married the love of her life, Dave Relf on April 1, 1972. They started their life together in Alberta, had two children and moved to British Columbia a few years later where she lived out the rest of her days.

Arlene truly had the joy of the Lord in her heart and her faith was precious to her. Arlene’s infectious smile would radiate Jesus’ love and kindness to everyone she would meet. Arlene had the ability to reach people in profound and meaningful ways, caring for homeless and marginalized people, giving of her time to help at her church, visiting people in nursing homes and doing what she could to meet the needs of those around her. Arlene was a devoted wife and mother to her family. She will be greatly missed but we rest in the knowledge that she is now at peace in the presence of our Lord.
