Christine Taylor

Christine who loved to be called “Kiki” departed her loving family and friends on August 4,2021. Christine was born on July 5, 1940 in Innisfail, Alberta to Reinhold & Lydia Gehring. Christine is survived by her children Laurene (Jonathan) , Brent (Sherry), Diana Fieldhouse and Brett Fieldhouse. Also her granddaughter Breanne (Roberto) and two beautiful great grandchildren Roberto and Sofia who she just treasured.

Christine is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her brother in law Don. Life Long friends Joyce, Ruth, Mae, Roberta and many more. She is also preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.

Christine worked for many years at a local credit union and was involved in community affairs and volunteer activities. Upon her retirement she moved to Kaleden BC where she built her retirement home with her son Brett. After several years she moved back to the lower main land to be near family and friends. Some of her many hobbies included beautiful gardens, painting, and she had an eye for home decorating with colors and design only she could see. She loved to travel and made many trips which included Australia twice “thank you Donnie and Steve”, Mexico, all over the US, Honduras and several cruises.

No service will be held at the request of Christine, if you would like to donate in her name, please donate to your local animal rescue in her honor. A special thank you to all the staff at Harrison Pointe for all your love, care and kindness. Thank you to nurse Barb at Melville Hospice for your kindness at the end of my life.
