David Alexander Jessiman

He was born to Alex and Betty Jessiman on February 23, 1943 in Vancouver, BC. He grew up in the Kitsilano area where he excelled in baseball and rugby and met his lifelong friends Barry Kellett, Ken Jarvie, Sandy Morita, and Laurie Soon (aka the Richlam Gang).

It is here he also met his loving wife Bonnie Scott at 16 years old, they married in 1964, this year would have been their 60th anniversary. David and Bonnie raised their 3 children, Julie, Lori and Scott in Richmond, BC.

David spent over 50 years in the overhead door industry, most notably owning Richards Wilcox Door Systems from 1977-1996. He was well known and respected in the industry for his humour, hard work, relationship building and giving back to the industry. He was loved by many.

In his later years, living in Surrey, David loved walking, reading and spending time with his family.

David is survived by his wife Bonnie, sister Margie, children, Julie (Ric), Lori (Larry), and Scott (Michelle), and his 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Marc, Erin, Kate, Rebecca, Layna and Kendall, and 2 great-grandchildren Owen and Ruby.

He is predeceased by another grandchild, Jacob.

David touched the lives of many and will be greatly missed.

There will be a private family service and a memorial to be announced at a later date.
