David was a man who meant so much to so many. He was a devoted husband, loving Dad, proud Papa and Great-Papa, beloved brother and uncle, mentor, and a true friend to many. His presence brought comfort, laughter, wisdom, and love to the lives of countless people.
David leaves behind his beloved wife, Linda Vernon, and his three children, Debbie Vernon (Dave), John Vernon (Cheryl), and Penny Vernon. He will be forever cherished by his grandsons Justin, Cody, Tyler (Brooklyn), Lane and Nate, and his great-grandchildren Ryder, Chloe, Kayden, and Westen. He also leaves behind his two brothers Bruce (Suzanne) and Stan (Donna) and many beloved nieces and nephews, extended family and many dear friends who were always thought of as family.
David had a way of making people feel important and cared for. His love was never something you had to question—it was felt in the way he showed up, the way he helped, the way he listened, and the way he was always there when someone needed him. He was the kind of person people could count on.
David was a pillar within the construction and aggregate community since the 60’s.
His greatest pride and his greatest legacy were his family and his home. Home was where David was happiest, surrounded by the people he loved. He built a life filled with family, memories, laughter, and love, and those memories will now become some of the most treasured gifts he has left behind.
His passing has left a huge hole in our hearts and in our lives. It is difficult to imagine life without him, but we will carry his love with us every day, with memories living on through his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends.
David will be forever loved and remembered by Everyone that knew him.
The Celebration of David’s life for family and friends will be outdoors at his family home on October 13 at 2pm.
Thank you for keeping our family in your thoughts.
