Dianne was born in Seattle, Washington, graduated from Ballard High School and attended Yakima College. In 1962, she met Dad at a friend‘s wedding. On their first date, they attended the opening of the World’s Fair in Seattle. After lots of letter writing back-and-forth, Dad proposed and in 1964, they married. She bravely moved to the ‘Great White North’ and the adventure began.
Mom and Dad built their home in Dome Creek and raised four kids along with lots of animals on the "funny-farm," as Dad liked to call it.
Mom loved her gardens and rhododendrons, berry picking, canning, sewing and making tree decorations. She volunteered with many charities over the years. We think “Operation Red Nose” was a favourite, as she and Dad could do that together after his accident. Dad passed away in 2011.
Dianne is survived by her sister, Sue Henning of Pullman, Washington, and her children Howard (Madeline), Holly, Hunter (Beata) and Hilary (Tom) as well as grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial tea will be held at the Bon Voyage Inn, in Prince George on October 18, 2026 between 1 PM and 4 PM
(Parking is available in the the rear of the building)
The family would like to thank Corey Dowie, Marcela and Langley Hospice for their care and compassion.
