“Betty” was a very intelligent, humorous, well-traveled and well-read person who made friends of all who were fortunate enough to cross her path. She lived a godly life and was a born again Christian. Generous to a fault, she gave much to many all her life. A lover of animals, particularly cats and dogs, she had many pets from childhood to old age. She did many interesting things during her long and fulfilling life from meeting and conversing with Albert Einstein to playing an important role in the Allied war effort during WW II in acting as assistant to a Canadian Admiral in Halifax, NS. She was a talented artist and poet and her knowledge of many subjects was encyclopedic. She was fluent in four languages. A natural teacher, she gave freely to all of her knowledge, wit and wisdom. Her loss will be acutely felt for a very long time by all who knew her.
