OBITUARY

Gail Dianne Marie Harvey

15 January, 1946 – 16 September, 2025
IN THE CARE OF

Henderson's Langley Funeral Home

Dianne passed away suddenly on September 16, 2025 at the age of 79 – a life well-lived.

She was pre-deceased by her first husband Mel Puscas in August 2020 and by her second husband Bob Harvey in November 2023. She is survived by her daughter Jodie (Todd) Harris, granddaughters Ava and Zoe, son Tyler Puscas (HJ) and sister Judy (Roland) LaHaye.

She also leaves behind step-daughter Dana (Darren) Surma, their daughters Sienna and Sophie, and step-son David Harvey.

Dianne was born in Melville Saskatchewan. She grew up in Regina where she graduated from the University of Saskatchewan (Regina Campus) with a B.A. and Teaching Certificate. Dianne spent most of her career teaching in the Fort Gary School Division in Winnipeg. Toward the end of her career, she spent two years teaching in Monterrey Mexico.

Dianne had a very creative nature; she took tap and ballet for a number of years while growing up. She used her dance skills many times in her teaching career dedicating hours to the yearly presentation of musical stage productions at several schools in Fort Garry.

Her love of reading mysteries, legal thrillers and doing sudoku was evidenced by the many books she had and shared with others. Her greatest enjoyments in life included watching Tyler play hockey, watching Jodie dance, taking family trips to Hawaii and Disney with Mel and their kids and later, travelling with Bob in their travel trailer down the Oregon coast and going to Ava’s track meets and Zoe’s karate lessons. She had great love for all her family and cherished spending time with Ava and Zoe at Crescent Beach and Alouette Lake and taking them for ice cream.

She loved animals, especially her two dogs Jenga and Kia who had both crossed the rainbow bridge and were surely waiting for her.

Dianne was a woman filled with love. She will live forever in our hearts.

The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.
