It is with profound sadness that I announce the passing of my beautiful mom. She was only the young ripe age of 69, and lost her hard long battle to cancer. She has been taken from us way too soon.
My mom Gloria was one of a kind. She was strong, bold, independent, and wonderfully stubborn. She always spoke her mind and lived life her own way. Beneath that tough exterior though, was a deeply loving and caring woman who would do anything for the people she loved—even if she didn’t always let you see and know just how much she cared.
Believe me, she did.
Gloria was the daughter and only child of her late parents Jack and Anne in Germany. Years later met Willy also in Germany who soon became her husband, moved to Canada shortly after with their baby daughter Jessica. Her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment in life was being my mom, and also a dog mom to Remi, Sasha, Deez, Blue and Finnigan.
Gloria had a special bond with dogs that went far beyond companionship. She found happiness in long walks, obedience training, and the excitement of competing and earning awards with her beloved companions.
One of her favorite places to visit often and go for walks with her dogs, was along the White Rock beaches, and it is where she has wished to have her ashes set free.
She had an infectious laugh that could brighten any room, and her beautiful smile and energy would turn all heads her way in any room she was in. She adored jewelry, looking her best, and took pride in her appearance. She also had the strongest, thick black wiry hair anyone had ever seen—a feature as unforgettable as the woman herself. Gloria was proud of her German heritage, which showed in her resilience, determination, and unwavering spirit.
The world has lost a remarkable woman whose personality simply could not be overlooked. Those fortunate enough to know Gloria will remember her strength, her laughter, her dedication and love for her daughter, all her amazing friends, and love for her dogs.
Although our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in knowing that her love, her laughter, and the memories she created will remain with us forever.
You may no longer walk beside us, Mom, but you will always walk within our hearts. We love you, we miss you beyond words, and we will carry your memory with us every day.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever missed🩷🩷🩷
