

Heather was born Sept 17,1949 in Port Alberni, the daughter of Jessie and Arthur McDonell.
Heather worked at Woodwards, Block Brothers and River Seafood in varied positions. She was known as a very hard worker, well organized and welcoming to all.
Heather had very fond memories of playing softball when she was a child where her brothers would drive her while listening to music. She always enjoyed the pool, bowling and her children and grandchildren’s sports. Later in life Heather continued to bowl, took up golf and playing pool where she met some incredible friends. Heather loved to dance, laugh, 50/60’s music, playing cards and spending time with her family. She was an easy conversation that would warm the hearts of anyone at any age.
Remaining to cherish Heather’s memory are her children and spouses; Troy and Candide Dickson, Stacey and Rudy Vandervelde, Laura Lea and Ron Freeman. Heather’s grandchildren, Adam and Carter Dickson, Karlea Vazquez, Andrew and Jeremy Freeman; great-granddaughters, Freyja and Athena Vazquez and great-grandson Cohen Dickson; Heather’s sister Bonnie Olsen and brother Roy Kading. Heather’s longtime friend Barb Susheski.
Preceding Heather in death is her husband Jim Dickson and brothers Doug and Robert McDonell.
The celebration of life will be a drop in where you will hear some of Heather’s favorite 50’s and 60’s music. There will be no formal agenda, come when you please. It is scheduled for December 19th at Pacific Country Stables 21852-16th Ave Langley, BC. from 2:30PM to 4:30PM, All are welcome to attend and celebrate Heather’s life.
