Mrs. Jennifer Louise Salary

Jennifer Louise Salary, née Boissonneault, of Aldergrove, British Columbia, passed away in Langley after a short but courageous battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her father Reg in 1985, her mother Philomine in 2014, and her younger brother Mark in 1989.

Born in Calgary, Alberta, Jennifer brought warmth, laughter, and kindness into the lives of all who knew her. Deeply devoted to her family, she is lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, John, and by her children, Katie, Debbie (Matt), and Michael. She also leaves behind five siblings as well as four cherished grandchildren: Samantha, Hannah, Olivia, and Jacob, each of whom brought immense pride and happiness into her life. Her love for her family was steadfast and unconditional, and she created a home filled with warmth, encouragement, and enduring affection.

Those who knew Jennifer will remember her as a funny, loving, and kind woman whose presence could brighten any room. She had a natural gift for making people laugh, often with a well-timed remark or a playful sense of humour that reflected her joyful outlook on life. She loved travelling with her husband John and younger sister Rejeanne and embraced the opportunity to see new places and experience the beauty of the world beyond her own doorstep. She enjoyed baking, sharing her love for everything dessert with friends and family, and ensuring that there were always cookies on hand for visiting grandchildren. She found peace and fulfillment in gardening, and her gardens reflected the patience, care and appreciation for life. She was well-known around the neighbourhood for her vibrant and colourful flowers.

An important part of Jennifer’s life was her work with her dog Sophie and the St. John Ambulance’s Therapy Dog program. She was proud to be involved in this meaningful service, where compassion and companionship could bring comfort to others in need. Through this work, Jennifer shared her empathy and gentle spirit in a very special way. Her dedication to helping others, along with Sophie’s calming presence brought encouragement and joy to many lives.

Jennifer’s life was one of love, family, friendship, and service. She will be remembered for the laughter she shared, the comfort she offered, and the many ways she made life brighter for those around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her husband, children, grandchildren, and all who were touched by her kindness.

She will be greatly missed. In keeping with Jennifer’s wishes, there will be no ceremony, but we invite those who knew and loved her to remember her in their own meaningful way. Look for her in hummingbirds and beams of sunlight. She will be there.
