John Alexander Davidson, 84, died Saturday, January 17, 2015 at Langley Seniors Lodge in Langley BC. The cause was due to his three year struggle with Alzheimer's. He leaves behind his loving wife and best friend of 40 years, Mary Martineau, her two children and 4 grandchildren; his sister, Elsie Hyde; many nieces and nephews; and numerous close friends. He will be deeply missed.
John was very proud of his 30 year career with the New Westminster police department. He leaves lots of memories and "stories" of his accomplishments. After retirement, John and Mary, moved to the Sunshine Coast and enjoyed traveling Canada, USA, and abroad. During 1995, John and Mary moved to their town home in Langley. John grumbled for a short time about living in a town home complex, but soon began to love it largely due to the many new close friends and relationships he developed.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, January 26, at the Henderson's Langley Funeral Home, 20786 Fraser Highway, Langley, BC. Relatives and friends are welcome at the service and the reception will immediately follow at Henderson's. Request no flowers.
