

Jack Macleod, 91, of Cloverdale, BC passed away on October 7th after complications from hip surgery with his family at his bedside. Jack was born in Medicine Hat Alberta on September 30, 1934, only child to Donald and Myrtle. Jack loved to play the bagpipes. He drew quite a crowd playing his pipes on the balcony of his Bethshan Gardens apartment during the Covid pandemic. Jack’s over 50 years of piping included a number of years as the Pipe Major with the Surrey Firefighter Pipes and Drums, and the Langley Royal Canadian Legion Pipe Band. Jack will be missed by his many friends at Derby Downs where he was active in strata council and the many social activities while he lived there.
Predeceased by his wife Faye in 2012. Remaining to cherish Jack’s memory are children Gene (Kim), Neil, Ian, and Sheila (Rob Smith), grandchildren Cody, Rachel (Joey Balzer), Nathan, Shawn, and Melissa (Kyle Blair), and great granddaughters Savannah, Jorja, and Charlotte.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff from 3 South at Langley Memorial Hospital for the care they provided for Jack.
A Service of Remembrance will be held at Henderson's Langley Funeral Home at 20786 Fraser Hwy, on November 14th, 2025 at 1:30 pm.
