John passed away in Langley Hospice after a short bout of cancer. He was a true Langley pioneer, having spent his entire life on the family farm on Medd Road (64th Avenue), except for a short assignment around the province while employed by B.C. Telephone Co. He retired in 1987 after 36 years with the company to spend the remaining years on his beloved farm raising cattle, chickens and hay.
He is survived by Doris, his wife of 58 years, nephews Paul and Larry (Judy) Donauer, and Doris' nephew Terry and niece Joanne Robinson and dear friend Charles Iberg.
John was predeceased by his parents, his sister Lina Donauer and many long time friends.
There will be a short service at Murrayville Cemetery on Sept 4, 2025 followed by a reception - All are welcome.
