

Born in Kamloops BC in 1941, she grew up on a dairy farm in Enderby, BC with four siblings, participating in 4H club and driving tractors to do her chores. Growing up, she loved learning, culminating in representing her graduating class as valedictorian. Kathleen went to university in Victoria to become a teacher. Teaching was her passion. Of particular note, she helped pioneer the reading recovery program in Langley. After retirement, she continued teaching as a private tutor.
Kathleen married Percy in 1966 and had two children, Marc and Laura. She valued family life, Catholic faith, life-long learning, and community involvement. She volunteered with St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Langley Docents, and the Field Naturalist Group. Kathleen loved playing tennis, keeping up with the news, and traveling. She was a great listener and had a wonderful smile and sense of humor. Kathleen will be missed.
Kathleen was predeceased by her husband Percy and parents, Jack and Merle Armstrong, and Aunt Kay and Uncle Norman Armstrong. She is survived by children Marc and Laura Lotzer, along with beloved cats Pepper and Jack.
Prayers will take place on December 12, 2025, at 8 pm and Funeral Mass commences at 1 pm on December 13, 2025, both at
St. Joseph’s Church Langley.
