Family
Kevin’s children are Darrell (Gail), daughter-in-law Emily and Jacqui. He is survived by his grandchildren, Tara, Elizabeth, Lillian (Moe), Olivian, and Geralyn, and his great-grandchild, Drohnen. Kevin is sadly predeceased by his son Ronald.
Kevin was fortunate to share his life with two great loves: his first wife, Marilyn, with whom he shared 50 years, and his second wife, Carol, with whom he shared 13 years.
Kevin and Marilyn retired at the ages of 57 and 56, respectively. Their 50-year marriage was filled with love, family, shared interests, and travels around the world.
After Marilyn’s passing, Kevin met Carol, who became his second wife. Together, they devoted their time to one another and created many cherished memories through walks, urban adventures, geocaching, and grand travels.
A Life Well Lived
Kevin lived a remarkable life centered on family, travel, higher education, and sport. An avid skier, cyclist, and baseball player, he also loved racquetball, squash, pickleball, and, most recently, table tennis. Above all, those who knew Kevin knew his passion for golf. He began playing at the age of seven and completed his final 18 holes on October 7, 2026, with an impressive score of 68.
Education and Career
A bit of a mischief-maker in his younger years, Kevin did not initially finish high school. Later, with a wife and three children, he earned his high school diploma and went on to complete a self-study degree in civil engineering with the University of Alberta. Throughout his studies, he worked full time at BP Oil and Gulf Canada to provide for his family. Kevin built a highly successful career with BP Oil and Gas, Gulf, Petro-Canada, and Suncor.
Remembering Kevin
Kevin was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many. We were blessed to know such a strong and caring man, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Kevin took great pride in the many accomplishments of his five granddaughters and one great-grandson. He spoke of them often, and his face lit up whenever he did. He was one proud Grandpa!
