Laura Angelucci was born in Nordegg, Alberta the third of four children born to Camille and Germaine. The family moved to New Westminster about 1925 and this was to be home base for the next forty odd years.
Laura attended Sir Richard McBride Elementary School and graduated from T. J. Trapp Technical High School in 1938. She worked as a secretary for the Continental Can Company and Trufit Mill Works. She left her employment when she married Darrell Cox on July 20, 1957. They celebrated fifty years of marriage in 2007. Her children: Leslie, Larry, Bill and Jim all appreciate not having been latchkey students.
The family moved to Surrey in 1969 and has lived there until this year.
Laura gained a measure of independence by obtaining her driver’s license at age fifty-five and drove until well into her seventies. She enjoyed bowling, knitting, crossword puzzles, baking, sewing and being a wife and mother.
She did everything to the best of her ability and expected the same of her children.
She was much loved and will be sadly missed.
Arrangements under the direction of Henderson's Langley Funeral Home in Langley, BC.
