Born on December 5, 1942, in England, Lesley carried her British roots with pride throughout her life. In her early twenties, she bravely made her way to Canada, where she built a beautiful life grounded in family, friendship, and community. Canada became her cherished home, and Langley the place where her heart truly flourished.
Lesley was the devoted mother of three surviving daughters: Joanne Bonetti, Tina Upton, and Diane Stephenson. She was a proud and loving grandmother to Cassidy and Ashley Bonetti, and Colby and Jessica Upton. She is also survived by her beloved brothers, John and Peter Davies-Colley, sister-in-law Julie, and Angela Davies-Colley, along with nephew Andrew and niece Lorna. Her dearest friend, Catherine Dinsdale. Her family was her greatest joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of strength and warmth.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Allan Goodbrand, in 1992. Though she carried the loss with grace for many years, it brings comfort to know she no longer has to wait to be reunited with her true love.
Lesley was the glue that held her family together — steady, nurturing, and endlessly giving. Beyond her family, she poured her energy into her community. She organized events at her local church, contributed to the Langley Arts Council, BC Floral Arts, and participated in the Langley Field Naturalists. She also generously volunteered her time judging floral art shows — a fitting role for someone whose life was truly lived in "full bloom."
A Celebration of Life, “A Life in Full Bloom,” will be held at Newlands Golf & Country Club on March 19th. A private burial will take place to reunite her with her late husband.
Lesley’s kindness, creativity, and steady presence will be deeply missed but forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love continues to blossom in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and the many friends whose hearts she touched.
