Footprints in the Sand

One night I dreamed a dream. As I was walking along the beach with my Lord. Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life. For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, One belonging to me and one to my Lord.

After the last scene of my life flashed before me, I looked back at the footprints in the sand. I noticed that at many times along the path of my life, especially at the very lowest and saddest times, there was only one set of footprints.

This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it. "Lord, you said once I decided to follow you, You'd walk with me all the way. But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life, there was only one set of footprints. I don't understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me."

He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you Never, ever, during your trials and testings. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."

Dear Lorrie,
Our hearts are filled with sadness at losing you. There are so many memories of our time together that no one else will ever know or understand. When we first met you and Murray, it was like we had known each other for years. Our crazy business ventures to solve all the worlds problems never really materialized however we did make a difference in many lives through our efforts. The young people that became a part of our adventure had opportunities to learn, grow and in many ways, see a brighter side of life. We all worked our fingers to the bone and in the process, built a friendship based on a solid foundation of love, respect and true understanding of grit and determination. We will forever cherish our memories of you and our time together. You brought us such joy, much laughter, unconditional love, and a special light into our lives. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your life, we feel blessed to have known you.
With much love and affection,
Bill & Sylvia Mills

We send our condolences to the family and many friends that share the loss of this amazing woman. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

My condolences to Aunt Lorrie’s family and friends. I will always remember her as a strong, fearless warrior of God. I love her and cherish her as my mom Minnie did. I know Jesus took her by the hand and said, well done good and faithful servant. Welcome home. Love you Aunt Lorrie, till we meet again xoxo
