To the Carson family,
So sad to read of Margaret's passing. I have many fond memories of Margaret: her warm smile, her wit, her love of family and especially her ability to be so present and attentive in any conversation. She had the ability to make you feel like you were the most important person in the room at that moment. Treasure your memories in the coming days. I was saddened to read of your mom's passing. Having lost my mom, I feel I am in a position to say that I know what you feel. We have learned that grief is like a pebble dropped in a pond. It is intense and all consuming for a time, then ebbs away for a period. It then returns for another visit, though somehow milder, and easier. As time goes on, you are able to focus more on the memories, and less on the loss, though the missing never quite stops. 

You and your family will be in our prayers as you walk through this time.

I will always remember going to the Carson house when I was in college with Margaret's namesake daughter.  We were both studying fashion design and it was easy to see where she got her fashion sense from when you looked at the photos of Pat and Margaret on the walls.  
I remember another afternoon that I spent alone with her 40 years ago learning to make her famous sausage rolls; it was wonderful to be treated like an extra daughter when my own family was so far away.  
And when I brought my newborn daughter to Margaret she held her tenderly and admired her in the same way that she did her own grandchildren; she was a born nurturer.
People will walk in and out of our lives but some leave footprints on our hearts; it has been a pleasure and an honor to know Margaret, and many thanks to her family for sharing her with me.  What a classy lady, one who will be missed dearly by many.
