

MILLER Martina Johanna (Olsen) (nee Kerssens) July 30, 1947. Born in Amsterdam, Netherlands, she came to Canada with her parents in 1954. Raised in Vancouver and Burnaby. Married, John Olsen 30 September 1966, who passed away 18 January 1982. John and Martina lived in Powell River from January 1, 1967 to April 1980 where John was a millwright and steam engineer. She leaves behind husband Donald B. Miller, son Michael (Correen) Olsen and grandchildren Ashley, Blake and Breanna, her daughter Janis (Jeff) Olsen Knaupp and grandson Torben, stepson Jeff Miller and stepdaughter, Colleen(Chris) McRae, mother Theresia Kerssens, friend and close sister Theresa (Ron) Lang, brothers Martin (Arlene) John (Alicia), sisters Anita King and Carina Kerssens, mother-in-law, Inger Olsen, sister-in-law Hanne (Brian) Selby, brother-in-law, Lars Olsen,many nieces and nephews and brother Fred, deceased February 2008. Martina married Don 16 May 1992. After a short stay in Victoria they moved to Chilliwack. Don started his own CMA accounting firm in Sardis. In August 2007 they sold their home and moved to Langley.Tina was interested in painting, sewing and swimming. In the early years she was an Akela Cub leader, Army and Air Cadet officer, Treasurer for and member of the Burnaby Ladies Auxiliary to the Dania Home. In Chilliwack she spent many years with the Kiwanis Club, and on the core group of the ValleyWomen's Network. Funeral to be held at Saint Nicholas Catholic Church, 20675 - 87 Avenue, Langley BC. Tuesday, November 17 at 10:00 a.m. Donations to be made to Dania Home Auxiliary or Langley Cancer Driver's Program.Arrangements under the direction of Henderson's Langley Funeral Home, Langley, BC.
