Mary Rosina Baouya

Mary was born March 22, 1957 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, the daughter of Francesco and Olga Ricci, and the sister of Rino Ricci.

She was a devoted mother to her three children: eldest daughter Yamina Holmberg nee Baouya, son Frank Baouya, and youngest daughter Malika Baouya. She was also a proud and loving grandmother to Madison Holmberg, Trenton Holmberg, and Mason Baouya. Mary is lovingly remembered by her son-in-law Rob Holmberg and daughter-in-law Kristie Baouya and Art Piippanen.

Mary’s number one priority in life was always her family. She loved her children deeply and cherished every moment with her grandchildren. She was an incredibly caring and generous person who would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need, never wanting anything in return but always happy when she received a smile, a hug, or a simple thank you.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her kindness, warmth, and unconditional love.

Memorial donations in Mary’s name may be directed to the Heart & Stroke foundation of BC.

A funeral is service and reception is to be scheduled at a later date.
