With great sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Rick George Levinsky. Rick was born on October 25, 1950, in Vancouver, BC, to George and Kay Levinsky.
Rick retired as a Fire Captain from the City of Coquitlam in April 2008, after 32 years of dedicated service.
Rick was preceded in death by his father George Levinsky.
Rick is survived by his mother Kay; the great love of his life and wife of 50 years, Judy; daughter Nicole (Art); son Michael (Jane); grandson Dylan, the twinkle of his eye; brother Larry (Christine); and nieces and nephews. He was immensely proud of his family.
Rick was a talented craftsman with a passion for wood. His pride and joy was the family cabin where he and Judy made their life dreams come true. Many wonderful memories of hunting with Mike, Dylan, and Jane. Tours around the lake on his custom-made floating dock, with a few cold beers, with Nicole and Art, and many wonderful visits with treasured friends.
Rick was a true gentleman and loved by all who knew him. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
There will be a private celebration of life held on April 15 at Art and Nicole’s place.
Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
