Sheila was born in Powell River, British Columbia, and grew up on Cortes Island. She met and married the love of her life, Ersilio Giuseppe Stoppa, and they shared 57 years of marriage and raised four daughters: Marina, Michele, Melisa, and Mandy.
Sheila was a devoted wife and mother. She loved life. She loved volunteering at The Stewart Farm Garden for more than 25 years and was an active CWL member for more than 35 years. She loved the beach and was an avid reader. She always put others before herself especially her family.
Sheila was a kind, joyful, selfless, humble and generous woman who touched the lives of everyone around her. Her warmth, love, and gentle spirit will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her and remember her steadfastness in faith.
Sheila is survived by her four daughters, Marina (Rick), Michele (Lawson), Melisa (Patrick), and Mandy (David); her six grandsons, Jordan, Noah, Tyler, Matthew, Joshua, and Sam; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ersilio; her mother and father; and her two brothers.
Sheila will be deeply missed by her family and friends. While our hearts are heavy with her loss, we look forward to the day when we will be reunited with her again in Heaven.
