Born on August 21, 1995, in Langley, British Columbia, Stephen was a cherished son, brother, grandson, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend. He was always smiling and brought joy, laughter, and love to all who knew him. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
Stephen was known for his kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and determination. He enjoyed playing video games, watching movies, and found great happiness in spending time with family and friends.
Stephen was born with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and fought a long and courageous battle throughout his life. It was not always easy, but his strength, resilience, and positive spirit always shone through.
Stephen leaves behind his loving parents, Don and Kathy Berdusco; his brother, Derrick (Madison) Berdusco; his sister, Angela (Cole) MacEwen; his grandmother, Sandra Wilson; and his niece Everlee. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish his memory.
Though his time with us was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will remain in our hearts forever. Throughout his life, Stephen touched countless people who saw the person, not the disability. We know in our hearts that this will be his lasting legacy.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Salishan Place by the River, 23430 Mavis Avenue, Langley, BC. Family and friends are invited to gather to celebrate Stephen's life, share memories, and honour the joy he brought to those around him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stephen's memory to Defeat Duchenne Canada or Canuck Place Children's Hospice. It was Stephen's wish to help prevent other families from experiencing this disease in the future and to support those who are currently facing its challenges.
FOREVER LOVED, FOREVER REMEMBERED, AND FOREVER MISSED.
