It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the passing of Theresa Elizabeth Hill, who passed peacefully in the early morning hours of April 4, 2026. She was born on July 28,1936, in Prince Albert (Duck Lake), Saskatchewan.
Theresa lived a full and meaningful life, defined by her unwavering love for family, her kindness toward others, and the joy she brought into every room she entered.
Theresa was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is lovingly remembered by her four sons: Scott (Valerie), Brian (Anne)(Laurel), Garry (Cheryl), and Rick (Debbie). Her legacy continues through her 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and happiness.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Ted, in 1974, and her second husband, Jim, in 2004. Though she experienced great loss, Theresa carried on with strength, grace, and a deep appreciation for the people in her life.
Theresa had a true passion for music. She loved country music and could often be found playing the guitar or piano, singing from the heart. Music was her joy, and she shared it freely with those around her.
Her home was always a place of warmth and welcome—where friends and family gathered, laughter was shared, and everyone felt they belonged.
Above all, Theresa will be remembered for her loving spirit. She had a remarkable way of making people feel seen, valued, and at ease. She gave generously of her time, her heart, and her love, and in return, she was deeply loved by many. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A Mass will be held at Star of the Sea Catholic Parish, 2250 150th Street, Surrey, on Saturday, May 9, at 12:30, followed by a celebration of Theresa's life at 2141 Cranley Dr., Surrey, at 2:00 p.m.
