Valerie Gay Kawalilak

Valerie was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on February 10, 1941. Valerie met Walter later in life through their working relationship with the CNR and married in Edmonton at the Holy Rosary Church. In 1985, they moved to the Vancouver area and finally settled in Langley. Valerie attended Our Lady of Good Counsel in Surrey and in the past, St. Joseph's in Langley.

Valerie will be sadly missed by her sister, Cherylyn Stacey; her brother and sister-in-law Brian and Sandra Smith; nieces, Shannon (Jim, Riley, Kaden and Abbey), Cinnamon (David, Teio, Niko) and Shea (Scott, Michael); nephew Blair (Sandy) and brother-in-law Julian (Joanne) and close friends Maxine Krebs and Carla Mallett. Valerie was predeceased by her husband Walter in late October 1998.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend A Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church 10460 139 St., Surrey, BC on Wednesday, July 15 at 11AM. A Graveside Service will follow at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetery 15800 32 Ave, Surrey, BC at 1PM.
