It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Loik, who peacefully left this world on July 24, 2026, at the age of 92. Born on September 1, 1933, in Saskatchewan, Bill lived a life marked by integrity, resilience, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to his family.
After 47 years apart, Bill has been reunited with the love of his life, his beloved wife, Irene Loik. While our hearts grieve his absence, we find comfort in imagining the joy of their long-awaited reunion.
Bill was the kind of man who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was a natural leader, a trusted mentor, and someone whose wisdom was sought and respected. He carried himself with class, greeted others with an infectious smile, and possessed a quiet strength that inspired those around him.
Above all else, Bill was devoted to his family. His greatest legacy is not measured by what he owned, but by the love, strength, and values he instilled in the generations that follow him. His kindness, generosity, and example will continue to live on through those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Bill is lovingly remembered by his sister Olga; his brother Walter; his only son, Brad Loik, daughter in law Trish Loik; his cherished granddaughter, Braesha Loik; and his adored great-grandson, Bentley Loik-Ross. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Irene Loik.
To his family, Bill was so much more than a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was a protector, a source of strength, and the heart of the family. His influence will be felt for generations to come, and the love he gave so freely will never be forgotten.
A private, invite-only Celebration of Life will be held on September 1, 2026, at Bill's residence.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Bill's memory to Laurel Place Hospice in Surrey, British Columbia, whose compassionate care brought comfort during his final days.
Forever loved. Deeply missed. Never forgotten.
To the world, you were one remarkable man. To us, you were everything. A true legend, the foundation of our family, and the greatest gift we could have ever been blessed with. We will carry your name, your values, and your love with us for the rest of our lives
